Jim joined A&Q Partnership in 2003.
Jim began his career as an Assistant Planning Technician before going on to work as a
Senior Architectural Technician for several Architectural practices in Belfast, gaining
many years experience on a range of building types, before going on to study
Architecture at Kingston University and at this time also completed an MSc in the
History of Modern Architecture at the University College London.
Prior to joining A&Q he worked as Project Architect on an extensive range of projects
in the residential, mixed-use, commercial, cultural and office sectors. He was made
Associate Director of Fitzroy Robinson International in 1994 where he managed the

scale mix use and residential schemes to include the Royal Arsenal Woolwich which
forms part of the largest regeneration scheme in Europe, together with Kidbrooke
Village and Royal Wells Park.
Jim has an excellent and in depth knowledge of construction and specification writing
and has successfully delivered several highly pressured projects that have required
effective solutions to complex design issues.
Msc Ing Arch, ARB Associate
Anna joined A&Q Partnership in 2006, a year after graduating from the West
Pomeranian University of Technology in Poland. She qualified as an Architect in 2008
and is registered both in the UK and Poland.
Anna is experienced in a variety of projects and construction for Commercial, Retail
and Industrial Buildings, along with large Financial Institution Headquarter projects in
Canary Wharf, London.
Working in the industry for several years has given Anna a critical eye for detail,
allowing her to bring refined and bespoke detailing into the world of commercial
Anna has experience procuring and developing projects through all phases of the
design process, delivering schemes for leading high quality fit-outs of varying scales,
involving concept and detail design, as well as furniture and finishes specifications
She was the project Architect for a 6 storey Flagship Branch for HSBC in York, one of
the largest retail branches the Bank have built in the UK. In 2007 HSBC Retail Design
judged this to be the best retail bank opened in the UK.
More recently Anna has dedicated much of her time to the Workplace sector achieving
a number of successful projects with Blue-chip Clients.
B Arch, PG Dip Arch Senior Associate
Warren joined A&Q Partnership in 2011.
Warren studied in South Africa where he started his own practice and completed his
first Self Build before relocating to the UK in 1998.
Before joining A&Q Partnership, Warren worked as Project Architect on a wide range of
building types including private houses, residential, office, hotel and retail schemes.
The most notable of these was St. Martin's Courtyard, a new build mixed use scheme in
Covent Garden taken from initial sketch designs through to completion on site. During
this time Warren also completed his second Self Build for which he won
'Best Small Home' in the 2007 Daily Telegraph Self Build Awards.
At A&Q Partnership Warren has worked as Project Architect on Westfield House, a low
rise residential scheme within a flood plain comprising 193 units, has piloted the first
BIM project in the office and is currently working on Acton Gardens, a mixed use
development including Residential Units, Community Centre, Youth Centre, Offices and
Retail Units, as well as York Road Maidenhead a similar mixed residential and
Warren enjoys the challenge of complex residential and mixed use schemes on
difficult sites and has a keen interest in design, energy efficiency, BIM and new

Ash joined A&Q in 2010 in the Dorchester office.
He has been fascinated by architecture from a young age and had found the technical
side enticing. He began to study architecture while at college and working for a
Chartered Surveyor undertaking architectural work for small local residential projects.
Ash graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2006 which was followed by a
couple of years working in architectural practices in Devon. During this time, he
undertook a plethora of projects within small practices, learning to run entire
projects from conception to completion. The steep learning curve paid off with
projects being featured in national publications and more recently on national
During this time, Ash also began designing a new studio focussed on sustainable
construction for one of his former practices, which he eventually, along with a couple
of colleagues, built in order to have a good appreciation of site activities and the
impact drawings can make on site.
Since joining A&Q, Ash has run commercial projects for a national client, undertaken
several multi-million pound specialist education facilities, high-end heritage
residential and new housing schemes with developers.
BSc (Hons) MCIAT Associate
Ali graduated from the University of Westminster in 1994 studying Architectural Engineering and went on to become a qualified Chartered Architectural Technologist.
Before joining A&Q Partnership in 2017 Ali worked on a number of high profile projects such as Phase 1 of St. George Wharf, Terminal 5 Heathrow Airport, Terminal 2 Dublin Airport and the fit-out of Wembley National Stadium for relocating the Football Association to the national stadium before setting up his own practice in 2004 which specialised in high-end residential architecture and interiors.
At A&Q Partnership Ali has worked as Project Architect and Team Leader on Hampstead Manor, the former site of Westfield College and more recently Kings College Hampstead Campus on Kidderpore Avenue, which involved the construction of 7 new buildings with conversions and restorations to 5 of the existing buildings which are Listed (Grade II).
Ali’s 22 years of experience in the residential and commercial sectors strengthens the wealth of knowledge with creative and practical solutions of the practice.
BA Arch Associate
Rafael studied architecture and urban planning in the southern part of Brazil where he worked on multidisciplinary hospitality and high-end residential projects before relocating to London in 2005.
Raf joined A&Q Partnership in 2006 and while working in the London office led several retail, workplace and critical facility projects across the UK. In 2010 he became an Associate and moved to Hong Kong to set up and run A&Q’s Asia Pacific operations giving him an opportunity to develop his business and office management skills.
A Vectorworks specialist with creative cad expertise, Raf is passionate about 3D design and BIM workflows leveraging software technology to streamline design development and productivity.
With over 20 years’ experience spanning South America, Europe and South East Asia he’s been exposed to a wealth of multi-sector projects providing an in-depth understanding of property development, real estate and project management.
Rafael re-joined our UK team in 2018 focusing on the Workplace environment.
Kellie joined A&Q Partnership in 1993 and has contributed to the continuing growth
and expansion of the practice.
As Practice Manager, Kellie is responsible for the overall management and smooth
running of the practice on a day-to-day basis, whilst also dealing with accounts for all
A&Q offices, undertaking a wide range of duties within financial and management
Kellie also manages all staff in relation to human resources, office administration and
personal development, which includes organising staff training and professional
development when necessary.
